Introduction

The psychology of influence is one of the most traditional areas of socio-psychological knowledge. However, despite this, the problem of psychological influence continues to be, perhaps, the most popular and intriguing area of research and practical interests in psychology today. This situation is primarily due to the fact that this subject area directly leads to the disclosure of mechanisms, methods and methods for managing mental phenomena; determines the general logic of development and the main “super task” of social psychology as a scientific and practical discipline, points to the most problematic points of contact between psychological science and social practice, social order.

At the general methodological level of socio-psychological theory, psychological influence acts as a system-forming category of psychology, which largely determines the target perspective (i.e., the search for laws governing mental phenomena) and the applied potential, the social face of this science, due to the real capacity of the laws identified in it and concepts, their applicability in social practice. At a more specific level of methodological generalization, it is precisely the category of psychological impact that should represent the basic concept of applied methodology, which is still missing in domestic science.

Methods of socio-psychological influence are a set of techniques that affect the needs, interests, inclinations of a person, his attitudes, self-esteem, emotional state, as well as socio-psychological attitudes of groups of people.

With the help of methods of socio-psychological influence, it is possible to influence the needs of people and their motivation, change their desires, aspirations, emotions, mood, behavior. Skillfully using these methods, you can change people’s views, opinions and attitudes, as well as create new ones. By providing the right socio-psychological impact on a person, it is possible to ensure the most favorable position of a person in society, make his personality more resistant to the influence of various factors, form a healthy worldview and attitude towards people, the world, and life. Sometimes methods of socio-psychological influence are used to destroy existing personality traits, stop any activity, motivate them to search for new goals, etc.

As we can see, the methods of social psychology are one of the most difficult topics in psychological science. To understand these methods in detail, you need to spend more than one month studying them. But, despite this, one exact conclusion can be drawn: taking into account all the methodological difficulties, in any socio-psychological research there must be the ability to clearly identify and delimit the tasks to be solved, choose an object, formulate the problem under study, clarify the concepts used and systematize the entire range of methods used for research. methods. This is the only way to make socio-psychological research as accurate and productive as possible.

Socio-psychological impact

The study of the three sides of the communication process shows that the content of each of them includes certain ways of influencing people on each other. However, since communication does not exist outside of activity, and the process of activity is organized in a group, the main determinant of the impact of people on each other is the process of joint group activity.

The socio-psychological impact can play both a positive and a negative role: mobilize or demobilize the potential forces and abilities of an individual and a group, increase or decrease labor and social activity, form positive or negative personality traits. in relationships with others, a person acts either as a subject or as an object of influence. It is quite natural that it is the impact that becomes the object of close attention of social psychologists who study its mechanisms, features of application and conditions for effectiveness.

The lack of development of both the very concept of psychological influence and the theoretical apparatus for its description has been repeatedly noted. In foreign social psychology, influence is understood as any communication aimed at changing the ideas, attitudes of other people. In domestic psychology, the definitions of psychological impact have some discrepancies.

This is one of the two sides of a single process of interaction;

This is a “subject-subject” relationship;

· the result of the impact are some changes in the mental characteristics or state of the addressee of the impact.

According to Yanchuk V.A. to understand the impact, the idea of creation or co-creation in the process of impact, which consists in recognizing the interdependence of its participants, is useful. Any impact is also an impact itself. It is the aspects of creation and the influence itself that are decisive for understanding the essence and mechanisms of influence as a mutual influence.

Based on different points of view on the problem of psychological impact, we can create a certain impression about this phenomenon and proceed to consider the issue of the structure of socio-psychological impact.
