How to fight thirst
rinse your mouth with slightly acidic water
The best way to quench thirst is the liquid that increases the secretion of gastric juice – tomato juice (not salty domani), green tea
But sgonka is not only dietary restrictions. This is a whole complex, which includes certain training methods, and the same rational diet built in a special way, and fluid restriction, and thermal procedures – up to drug therapy and psychological means. The athlete cannot decide on the advisability of such an event alone, he decides it with the participation of the coach
It is not difficult for an athlete who is in good shape to lose 1-2 kg, this is done by reducing the volume of food, as well as using special clothing. The suit for cutting weight is a woolen leotard, on top of which is a warm sports uniform.
If a steam bath and other thermal procedures are not possible for any reason, the participant is offered a severely restricted diet one day before the decisive day. What can not be eaten, and what can be? Only a couple of eggs are allowed at this time, no more than 200 grams of cottage cheese, 100-150 grams of meat and a couple of glasses of tea. The total amount of sugar should not exceed 100 grams, and the volume of all food throughout the day should not exceed one and a half kilos.
If you need to lose 500 or 600 grams, an enema of boiled soapy water or Epsom salts will help. But they do it only when signs of dehydration are not observed. A kilogram of weight can be lost on the eve of the competition by visiting the steam room, it is allowed to do this on the day of the competition. If we are talking about a significant weight (3-5 kg), you need to approach the matter carefully and very carefully. Such an amount can be driven a limited number of times, respectively, the athletes must be aware of the exact schedule of competitions for the entire upcoming season.
carbohydrate-containing side dishes are excluded from the athlete’s menu, the volume of first courses is reduced by replacing soups with small portions of meat broths, fluid intake is also limited, an additional amount of vitamins is introduced
The result will be a weight loss of one and a half to two kilograms already in the first days of the new regime. Then the weight may stabilize, which should not be a cause for concern.
After achieving the desired result and the end of the official weigh-in procedure, it is important to eat wisely. It is impossible to increase the volume of water and food. Products should be consumed only fresh and easily digestible. It is allowed to drink mineral water and sweet strong tea with lemon. The meal immediately after the official weighing procedure consists of meat broth, a couple of soft-boiled eggs, some black caviar and no more than 100 grams of sugar. It is also recommended to include a complex of vitamins and a little salt. If there are still about 2 hours left immediately before the start of the competition, you can eat some meat and take a little nap.
Diet for weight loss. We eat chicken hearts, ventricles, fatty fish, meat (even lard, if in small quantities), cottage cheese, not salty cheese.)
It is also necessary to take foods rich in fiber, such as lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus (natural).
It is strictly forbidden to eat salt, because. it will retain water in the body, and the removal of water from the body is a key factor in the cutting process.
It is better to exclude potatoes, pasta, sugar, honey, cereals from the diet. All sweet fruits (especially bananas and grapes), some vegetables (beets, carrots, tomatoes).
RECOVERY AFTER WEIGHT LOSS
As soon as the athlete’s weighing has passed, it is necessary to immediately begin the procedure for restoring lost kilograms and fluids.
You need to drink enough water, but there is one caveat – the body can only absorb one liter of water per hour, the rest will be intensively excreted from the body, so you need to drink no more than one liter per hour. Water is consumed with such intensity, up to the exit to the duel, except for the time for sleep.
You also need to properly load up on carbohydrates – eat bananas, rice, sweet fruits. You should not eat such foods as pasta, potatoes, cakes and pastries – they will give a feeling of heaviness in the body and on the day of the fight the athlete can be enslaved and inactive. In addition to carbohydrates, you must continue to eat foods high in protein and fat. And you can add a little salt to the products, as it, along with carbohydrates, will contribute to fluid retention in the body.
