1. Software for educational purposes.

Of all the variety of pedagogical applications of SNIT, the use of software tools (PS) and the connection with their wide popularity in the practice of the domestic and foreign educational process should be highlighted. Despite many years of experience in the use of various types of PS for educational purposes, their potential remains inexhaustible. The reason for this is both the lack of development of theoretical foundations that reveal the feasibility of creating and using PS for the purpose of training, and the lack of a clear classification or typology, a set of requirements for them.

The problems of developing and using software for educational purposes are based on a number of theoretical provisions representing:

• pedagogical expediency of using PS for educational purposes;

• functional purpose of certain types of PS used for training purposes;

• typology of PS according to the methodological purpose;

•requirements for PS used in the educational process.

We will call a software tool for educational purposes a PS, which reflects a certain subject area to one degree or another, implements the technology of its study, provides conditions for the implementation of various types of educational activities. A software tool for educational purposes is usually intended for use in the educational process, in the preparation, retraining and advanced training of educational personnel, in order to develop the personality of the student, intensify the learning process.

The use of educational software is focused on:

solving a specific educational problem that requires its study and (or) resolution – problem-oriented PS;

· implementation of some activity with the object environment (for example, with a text preparation system, an information retrieval system, a database) – object-oriented PS;

· implementation of activities in a certain subject environment (ideally – with built-in elements of learning technology) subject-oriented PS.

With the help of PS, educational information can be presented on the screen in various forms; initiate the processes of mastering knowledge, acquiring skills and (or) skills of educational or practical activities; effectively monitor learning outcomes, exercise, repetition; to activate the cognitive activity of students; form and develop certain types of thinking.

Pedagogical software tool (PPS) is a new didactic tool designed for partial or complete automation of the learning process through the use of computer technology.

The PPS includes:

1. A program (set of programs) for a computer, aimed at achieving the specified didactic goals in teaching a particular academic discipline;

2. A set of technical and methodological documentation on the use of this program in the educational process;

3. A set of aids for use in the educational process (tutorials, slides, etc.);

(Auxiliary kit may not be available.)

A computer program that is part of the teaching staff is often called a training program, although it can implement various types of educational activities: issuing new educational material, monitoring the assimilation of knowledge, consolidating the acquired knowledge, etc.

The technical documentation contains a description of the internal structure of the training program, knowledge of which is necessary, for example, when making any changes to the program; instructions for its use; information about the required composition of technical means, etc.

The methodological documentation contains recommendations for the teacher on the use of the training program and aids in the educational process.
