WHAT IS A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE? (WHO definition): “This is a way of life based on the principles of morality, rationally organized, active, labor, tempering, protecting from the adverse effects of the environment, allowing you to protect moral, mental and physical health until old age.”

Lifestyle refers to socio-biological factors, the components of which are the triad of indicators: the level, quality and style of life.

A healthy lifestyle is a certain type of behavior of an individual or a group of people, fixing stably reproducible features, manners, habits, inclinations of cultural life in specific social conditions.

A healthy lifestyle includes the following main elements: fruitful work, a rational mode of work and rest, the eradication of bad habits, an optimal motor regime, personal hygiene, hardening, rational nutrition, etc.

Productive work is an important element of a healthy lifestyle. Human health is influenced by biological and social factors, the main of which is work.

A rational regime of work and rest is a necessary element of a healthy lifestyle. With a correct and strictly observed regimen, a clear and necessary rhythm of the functioning of the body is developed, which creates optimal conditions for work and rest, and thereby contributes to strengthening health, improving working capacity and increasing labor productivity.

The main elements of a healthy lifestyle:

– fruitful work;

– rational mode of work and rest;

Healthy lifestyle models for different age groups of patients: children, women, men, the elderly have their own characteristics. It is necessary to take into account the physiological and psychological characteristics of the body at different ages.

Nurses should inform the population about a healthy lifestyle, motivating the patient to follow it to maintain their own health.

Paramedic work methods:

1. Inform the population about the factors that most adversely affect various components of health, what diseases they can cause;

2. Inform about ways to promote health, such as

– personal hygiene;

– balanced diet;

– physical culture, physical activity, medical and social activity;

– sexual hygiene.

3. Inform about measures to prevent risk factors, methods of dealing with them, as well as educate the population on these methods.

For awareness of the population, that is, the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, various forms are used:

1) Verbal forms of propaganda – lectures, conversations, TV and radio performances.

2) Printed forms – sanitary bulletins, newspaper and magazine publications, brochures, booklets, leaflets, memos, public service announcements, posters, drawings, diagrams.

3) Visual forms – photographs, slides, dummies, layouts.

Nurses, working under the guidance of a doctor, continue educational work with the patient, determining the topics and amount of information on a healthy lifestyle, using these forms of propaganda, and also participate in the implementation of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention activities. But in order to competently participate in all this work, medical workers (in this case, nurses) must themselves know evidence-based methods of disease prevention and a healthy lifestyle.

Methods and means of promoting the health of the population are diverse and depend on the type of health risk factors and what diseases cause them, on the sex and age of the patient, this will be outlined in general methods:

1. Healthy lifestyle promotion.

2. Conducting sociological surveys and screenings to identify risk factors.

3. Education of the population in measures to reduce or eliminate risk factors.

4. Carrying out all types of preventive examinations.

A healthy lifestyle is the development in people of a chain of interrelated skills and habits. In childhood, with a combination of a stable daily routine, proper upbringing of healthy living conditions and study.

A set of healthy lifestyle habits is developed easily and is fixed for life. And it is difficult to achieve automatic compliance with the rules in the field of everyday life and personal hygiene.

This is such a difficult task – to form motivation for a healthy lifestyle! currently.

Healthy lifestyle models for each age are different and they are related to what is most important for a given age, a given patient, taking into account hereditary risk factors, social status, lifestyle and lifestyle.

According to the results of preventive examinations of the population, the state of health is determined.

There are 3 health groups:

1. persons who are practically healthy (they are advised to follow a healthy lifestyle);

2. persons at risk of developing diseases (these patients need preventive measures to prevent the harmful effects of risk factors or their elimination);

3. sick persons in need of treatment (can be divided into subgroups)

– persons in need of additional examination or treatment on an outpatient basis;

– persons in need of further examination and treatment in a hospital;

– people in need of high-tech medical care. These results are recorded in the Health Passport.
