Research problem

New Year is celebrated all over the world. There is little time left before the start of this holiday. Most people are busy preparing for the holiday. People decide where, how and with whom to celebrate. Therefore, this topic is very relevant.

Definition of the object and subject of research

In this sociological study, the object is students of the Krasnoyarsk Territory;

the subject is the attitude of students to the New Year holiday

Purpose of the study

The main purpose of this study is to identify the attitude of students to the upcoming New Year holiday, as well as the impact of material resources on preparing for the holiday.

4. Hypotheses:

Ø When organizing the New Year, the material aspect is important

Ø Not all students can afford to buy holiday gifts.

Ø Most students celebrate the New Year outside the home surrounded by their friends.

Research objectives

Ø Reflect the preparation of students for the New Year;

Ø Reveal the attitude of students to this holiday;

Ø Determine what role the financial situation of students plays in preparing for the holiday.

Ø The study of the socio-psychological mood of students.

During the study, 46 respondents were interviewed

After processing the results of a survey conducted among students, it turned out that:

to the question: “What mood are you in now?” – 52.1% of respondents answered that their mood is excellent; 21.7% – normal; and 26.2% bad;

to the question: “Do you celebrate the New Year?” – 100% answered that they are celebrating;

· to the question: “Where are you going to celebrate the New Year?” – 45.6% answered that they were going to celebrate at a party; 32.6% – at home; 6.5% – in a nightclub; 15.3% of respondents have no plans yet.

to the question: “Who are you going to celebrate the New Year with?” – 47.9% answered that they prefer to celebrate the New Year with friends; 45.6% – with relatives; 6.5% – with strangers;

to the question: “How are you going to celebrate the New Year?” – 54.3% of respondents answered that they were going to have a good rest; 4.4% – watch TV and go to bed; 15.3% find it difficult to answer; 26% – will go out with friends

to the question: “Are you going to prepare a festive table?” – 50% answered that they are going to prepare food for the week ahead; 23.9% are not going to cook; 24% said they would buy champagne and a box of chocolates; 2.1% – go to a restaurant;

· to the question: “Will you give gifts to relatives and friends?” – 86.9% answered that they would, 13.1% – would not;

to the question: “What is your average monthly income?” – 50% of respondents chose the option of 5-10 thousand rubles; 15.2% -10-15 thousand rubles; 17.3% – up to 5 thousand rubles; 17.3% – from 15 thousand rubles. and more;

Conclusion

Based on the analysis of the data obtained as a result of a survey among students, we can draw conclusions about the correctness or fallacy of the hypotheses proposed in the program of our sociological research:

  • The hypothesis that the material aspect is important in organizing the New Year was confirmed.
  • The hypothesis that not all students can afford to buy holiday gifts was not confirmed. 86.9% of respondents answered that they were going to give gifts.
  • The hypothesis that the majority of students celebrate the New Year outside the home, surrounded by their friends, was confirmed. According to the results of the survey, 45.6% of students celebrate the New Year at a party, and 47.9% of respondents prefer to celebrate the New Year with friends.
