Mood Umbrella.

Purpose: to determine the emotional state of the child, the prevention of anxiety.

Description: an umbrella divided into seven multi-colored sectors that determine the mood of the pupil. A set of emotions is attached to the manual, in the form of puppet faces, with Velcro.

Help work . If a child is especially shy, has difficulty communicating with peers and adults, he can be hidden under an umbrella. The baby is nowhere to be seen. So he decides to even go on stage (if the umbrella is turned into an element of the costume).

Colored sectors are attached to the top of the rainbow umbrella, and puppet faces “in different moods” are located along the lower edge of the dome. The child is invited to choose any face and attach to any colored sector. Color preferences and an emphasis on one or another expression of the puppet face allows you to judge the emotional state of the child and discuss his mood with him.

Material : 3 thick plastic folders, self-adhesive paper in three colors (red, yellow, green, double-sided tape, Moment glue, satin ribbon, compasses, ruler, images of emotions , clothespins, photographs of children .

Working process:

We cut out 6 circles from a dense folder (I have a diameter of 17 cm) and glue them together with a moment.

Then we glue them with self-adhesive paper and glue a satin ribbon in two rows on the reverse side, connecting the circles together. Next, we cut out three more circles from a folder of an already smaller diameter (I have 16 cm) and also glue them with paper of the corresponding color. Glue the resulting circles together.

The next step is to cut out the emotions . I found them online, printed them out and laminated them.

From the remains of the folder we cut out blanks for photographs (I have leaflets for boys and flowers for girls) . We glue them with double-sided tape for laminated photographs of children .

Then we glue the finished leaves and flowers to the clothespins with glue for a moment. I glued with gloves, because my hands get very dirty.

Here is what the finished traffic light looks like. With us, it weighs at the entrance to the group, so that the children, coming to kindergarten in the morning, can immediately mark their mood .

Red – bad mood , sad;

Yellow – calm mood ;

Green is fun.

If someone notes a bad mood , we try to immediately correct it for a good one.
